ANA ENSAN is a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to promoting human dignity, equality, and social inclusion for all individuals. Reports to: Volunteer Coordinator / Program Officer
Location: Damascus, Syria
Duration: Flexible – Part-time / Project-based
Type of Engagement: Paid Volunteer Service
Volunteers at ANA ENSAN contribute their time and skills to support the planning and implementation of humanitarian and community-development initiatives. Under the supervision of the Volunteer Coordinator or Program Officer, volunteers assist with program activities, outreach, and operational support to advance ANA ENSAN’s mission of equality and inclusion for all people, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and other underrepresented groups.
Assist in the organization and execution of community outreach, awareness, and advocacy campaigns.
Support program teams in logistics, coordination, and beneficiary engagement.
Participate in the preparation, collection, and distribution of relief materials when applicable.
Contribute to communications, documentation, and visibility efforts (including social-media and field reporting tasks as assigned).
Promote and uphold ANA ENSAN’s values of inclusion, respect, and non-discrimination in all activities.
Participate in volunteer orientation sessions, trainings, and coordination meetings.
Adhere strictly to ANA ENSAN’s safeguarding, protection, and code-of-conduct policies.
Demonstrated interest in humanitarian work, social justice, or community service.
Commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion, including the rights of LGBTQIA+ individuals.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Reliable, responsible, and respectful of confidentiality.
Previous volunteer or NGO experience is an asset but not required.
Basic proficiency in English and Arabic preferred.
Contribute directly to meaningful humanitarian and human-rights efforts.
Gain experience in NGO operations, project coordination, and advocacy work.
Develop leadership, communication, and intercultural-collaboration skills.
Receive an official Volunteer Certificate recognizing service with ANA ENSAN.
